Ducati Pantah

The Ducati Pantah was a motorcycle model from the Italian manufacturer Ducati.

It was introduced in 1977 and was the first model of Ducati, where the camshafts were driven by toothed belt. Since then, all at Ducati redesigned engines were designed with toothed belt to drive the camshafts. In addition its Ducati - except in the Honda Gold Wing models up to 1500 cc, the engine manufacturer Rotax pure and Moto Morini with the V2 models, no other manufacturer of motorcycle engines in series production toothed belt for camshaft drive one.

Another new feature of the Pantah was the mounting of the rear swing arm in the motor housing. From then on until the Ducati 999 swingarm was no longer supported in the framework of new Ducati.
