Dudjom Lingpa

Düdjom Lingpa (Tibetan: bdud ' joms gling pa, * 1836 in Golog, † 1904) was an important Lama and lineage holder of the Nyingma school of Tibetan Buddhism. According to tradition, he is regarded as the incarnation of Sariputra, Buddha s most important pupils, the Mahasiddha Saraha, the master Krsnadhara and the Mahasiddha Humkara. In Tibet, he was said to be incarnated among others in the 8th century as Khyechung Lotsawa, a disciple of Guru Rinpoche. Düdjom Lingpa was a meditation master and visionary and also a treasure finder of Guru Rinpoche in the 8th century hidden spiritual treasures, including the eponymous practice cycle " Düdjom Tersar " ( Tib: bdud ' joms gter gsar ). As its most important incarnation applies Düdjom Rinpoche (1904-1987), first "official head of the Nyingma school." Another incarnation was among other things Chime Rigzin ( 1922-2002 ).
