Duje Bonačić

Duje Bonačić ( born April 10, 1929 in Split ) is a former Yugoslav rowers.

Bonačić started for the club HVK Gusar from his hometown of Split. His greatest achievement was winning the gold medal in the coxless four, together with Petar Šegvić, Mate Trojanović and Velimir Valenta at the Summer Olympic Games in Helsinki in 1952. With his teammates from the gold four he was in the same year by sports journalists from the Croatian daily Sportske Novosti with the award Izbor Sportskih novosti in the section of Croatia ( means about athlete of the year in Croatia) excellent.
