Dukan Diet

The Dukan diet is a diet that has been developed by French nutritionist Pierre Dukan in the late 1970s. The diet approach is based on a high-protein diet and is in contrast to other forms of diet, the more likely recommend a low calorie diet with smaller portions.

The Dukan Diet consists of four stages. Depending on the phase 72 food containing protein and 28 vegetables are combined in unlimited quantities with each other. Counting calories is completely eliminated by this method. This is especially helpful for people who suffer from obesity because they are used to taking rather large amounts of food.

The four phases

  • 2 slices of whole grain bread
  • 40 g of hard cheese
  • A piece of fruit ( under a piece to be understood as an apple or a slice of melon or a bowl of berries)

Risks

The increased intake of protein diet for people with weak kidneys can be dangerous. It is also not recommended for pregnant women, nursing mothers, diabetes I and II as well as heart problems.
