Dulce of Aragon
Dulce Berenguer of Barcelona ( * 1160, † September 1, 1198 in Coimbra ) was an Aragonese princess, and from 1185 until her death Queen of Portugal.
Dulce of Barcelona was the daughter of Count Raymond Berengar IV of Barcelona and the Queen Petronella of Aragón. She had four siblings, including King Alfonso II
1175 she married the Portuguese throne, the Sancho I. ascended the Portuguese throne in 1185. Since then she has held the title of Queen of Portugal ( as the wife of the king, not as sovereign in its own right ).
