Dule Temple

The Dule Temple (Chinese独乐寺, Pinyin Dule si, English Dule Temple ) in Ji County of Tianjin City government directly (formerly Hebei ), China, is a Buddhist temple.

The temple was originally built during the Tang Dynasty and rebuilt in the 2nd year ( 984 ) of the Tonghe - government era of the Liao Dynasty. He is one of the three major preserved temples from this period.

His erected wooden Guanyin Pavilion ( Guanyin ge观音 阁) is 23 meters high. It is one of China's oldest wooden structures. It houses a 16 -meter-high Guanyin ( Avalokitesvara ) statue with the heads of ten small Buddhas on its tip ( Shiyi mian Guanyin Suxiang十 一面 观音 塑像), a rare clay sculpture.

Is the 10 m high Shanmen Gate ( Shanmen山门) another attraction of the system.

The Dule Temple is since 1961 on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China ( 1-84).
