Duluth Kelleys/Eskimos

The Duluth Kelleys were a U.S. American football team that was located in the National Football League ( NFL). In 1926 the team was called Duluth Eskimos.

History

In 1923 the team of the Duluth Kelleys was founded in Minnesota of 11 football players. The players were an equal share in the revenue. The name " Kelley " was due to the jersey sponsor of the team - a hardware store in Duluth. The Kelleys were included in the NFL. They wore their home games at Athletic Park - a 6,000 -seat stadium in Duluth from. Although the home games of the team were visited an average of 4,100 spectators, the economic success of the team was low. Even the sporting success of the team in 1923 was not impressive. The team ended after the season in seventh place in the table in the NFL. In 1924 it went much better.
