Dumangas, Iloilo

Duma gas (Filipino: Bayan ng Duma gas, Hiligaynon: Sangguniang Bayan Duma gas ) is a metropolitan area municipality in the province of Iloilo on Panay Island in the Philippines. It has 66 108 inhabitants ( census May 1, 2010 ) living in 45 barangays. It belongs to the first class of income communities in the Philippines and is described as partly urban.

Duma gas is opposite on the eastern coast of Panay Island, at the entrance of the Guimaras Strait, the island of Guimaras and Negros. The capital of the province, Iloilo City, located about 28 km northeast of the community and can be reached from there by bus or jeepney. The neighboring municipalities are Zarraga and Pototan in the West, Leganes in the southwest, Barotac Nuevo to the north, Santa Barbara in the north- west. The topography of the municipality is determined by lowlanders and a hilly landscape in the island's interior.
