Dumeng Giovanoli

Dumeng Giovanoli ( born January 23, 1941 in Sils im Engadin ) is a retired Swiss ski racer.

Giovanoli had its most successful period in the late 1960s. The first victory in the World Cup Skiing succeeded him on 14 January 1968 slalom in Wengen. A week later, he won the slalom in Kitzbuehel again and traveled as one of the favorites for the Olympic Winter Games in Grenoble. He was fourth in the slalom and giant slalom finished seventh. In the non-Olympic Alpine combination he was runner-up behind the Frenchman Jean -Claude Killy.

In the following two seasons him three more victories come at World Cup races. Finally, he won the end of his career at the World Ski Championships 1970 in Val Gardena the bronze medal in the giant slalom.
