Dunakanyar-Vác FC

Dunakanyari Vac FC is a Hungarian football club originating in the town of Vac at the Danube Bend ( ungar = Dunakanyari ). The club was 1994 World Champion of Hungary. 2007 merged the club with Buda LTC. In 2009, however, this compound dissolved again.

The club was founded as Váci Sportegyesület (German Vác sports club ) on 28 November 1899. In the main, cycling, fencing, gymnastics and tennis there were operated. The first football game was held on May 24, 1904 against Muegyetem FC, ​​a team from University of Budapest. The match against the second division of his time was lost with 0:3.

The club plays its home games at Vac Város Önkormányzata, which has a capacity of about 12 000 spectators. The club colors are red and blue.

Under the name of Váci Samsung FC, ​​the club won the 1994 Hungarian Championship. By 1926, only clubs from Budapest were admitted to gaming operations in the first division. During this time the Vác won in the years 1913 and 1924 regional championships.
