Dunakeszi

Dunakeszi is a city on a small area Dunakeszi in Pest county in Hungary. Covering an area of ​​31.06 km ² live 40,441 inhabitants ( 2013).

History

  • In the discovered here Burgus Dunakeszi is a small Roman military camp. It secured as of late antique Ländeburgus monitoring a Danube crossing at Pannonian Limes.
  • In 2002, a re-excavation at Ländeburgus Dunakeszi was carried out under the leadership of the Hungarian archaeologist Zsolt mrav.
