Duncan D. Hunter

Duncan Duane Hunter ( born December 7, 1976 in San Diego, California) is an American politician. Since 2009 he represents the state of California in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Duncan Hunter is the son of longtime Congressman Duncan Lee Hunter. He attended Granite Hills High School in El Cajon and then studied until 2001 at the San Diego State University in Business Administration. He then founded a web design company and worked in the IT industry as an analyst. After the terrorist attacks of 11 September 2001, he continued in this capacity and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. Between 2002 and 2005 he was employed as an active soldier of that unit in both the Iraq war and in Afghanistan. To date, he is a member of the reserve of the Marine Corps. After 2005 he worked for a time in the real estate industry.

Politically joined Hunter at the Republican Party. In the congressional elections of 2008, he was the 52nd electoral district of California in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeded his father on January 3, 2009. After the previous two elections, he can exercise his mandate in Congress today. He is regarded as decidedly conservative MP and is the Tea Party movement close. He is also a member of the conservative Republican Study Committee. Hunter defied in 2010, the health care reform, he is committed to the expulsion of American citizens who were born as children of illegal immigrants and is an opponent of the liberalization or legalization of same-sex partnerships. He serves on the Armed Services Committee and the Committee on Education and Labor, and in three sub-committees. Since January 3, 2013 Hunter takes to succeed Brian Bilbray the 50th electoral district of his state.

Duncan Hunter is married and has his private residence in Lakeside.
