Duncan F. Kenner

Duncan Farrar Kenner ( born February 11, 1813 in New Orleans, Louisiana; † July 3, 1887 ) was an American, and a Confederate politician from the state of Louisiana. He was also a member of the Confederate Congress.

Kenner was in 1836 a member of the House of Representatives from Louisiana and later the Senate of Louisiana. He was also a delegate to the Louisiana state constitutional convention of 1844 and 1852. Later he represented from 1861 to 1865 Louisiana as a deputy in the Provisional Konföderiertenkongress, and first and second Konföderiertenkongress. After the Civil War, he was a candidate in 1878 for a seat in the U.S. Senate, but lost. Kenner died on July 3, 1887 in New Orleans and was buried in the "Ascension Catholic Cemetery ".
