The Dundee Stars Ice Hockey Club are a 2001 founded the city of Dundee in Scotland with gaming operations in the British Elite Ice Hockey League. The home games are played in the 2300 -seat end Dundee Ice Arena.

History

The Stars won in their first season under player coach Tony Hand the championship of the British National League. Once in the following season, the second place in the British National League was reached, took over the Canadian Roger Hunt, who worked as an assistant coach in Dundee earlier, the position of the head coach. After an unsuccessful season he was replaced by his predecessor Tony hand again, but returned to Dundee and led the team in the 2004/ 05 season. The team won for the second time in three years, the Capital Cup. For 2005/ 06 the team was inducted into the Scottish National League after the British National League had previously been dissolved.

The following year, the team took second place in the Scottish National League and the Autumn Cup. In the seasons 2007/ 08 and 2008/ 09 stood for the Dundee Stars in each case the second place in the Scottish National League to book. In calendar year 2008, the team won the Autumn Cup for the first time, this success was repeated two years later.

For the 2009/10 season Iain Robertson was entrusted with the management of the team. As part of the expansion of the Elite Ice Hockey League, which has been increased for 2010/11 season from eight to ten teams, was admitted to the Dundee Stars in the EIHL. In the summer of 2010, Dan Ceman was introduced as head coach of the Stars.
