Dungannon

Dungannon ( Irish: Dún Geanainn ) is a town in County Tyrone in Northern Ireland. It is the third largest city in the county and had the Census 2001 11.139 inhabitants. Dungannon is the administrative center of the District Dungannon and South Tyrone.

Well known is the traditional Royal School in Lough Neagh Mountjoy. It was founded in 1614 by the English King James I., and is the oldest school in Ireland.

The earlier significant production of linen is now insignificant; there is a known glass blowing, the Tyrone Crystal Factory, which can also be visited.

The football club in the city is the Dungannon Swifts FC; he plays in the Stang More Park.
