Dunn County (Wisconsin)

The Dunn County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. In 2010, the County had 43 857 inhabitants and a population density of 19.9 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Menomonie, named after the Indian word for wild rice.

Geography

History

The Dunn County was formed in 1854 from parts of Chippewa County. It was named after Charles Dunn, an early chief justice of the Wisconsin Territory.
