Dunzweiler
Dunzweiler is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality forest Mohr.
Geography
The place is in Kusel Musicians country on the border of Saarland. To the northwest Breitenbach, in the east Schoenberg Kübelberg with his district Schmittweiler, in the southeast forest Mohr and west is Lautenbach ( Ottweiler ) is located.
History
1247 Dunzweiler was first mentioned. In 1487 it burned down to the ground and was not rebuilt until 80 years later. This is evident from an unknown church register entry of the Diocese of Speyer in 1753. Further investigation of this source suggest that Dunzweiler was afflicted by local riots during the Inquisition in the Duchy of Pfalz- Zweibrücken Heinrich Kramer the place.
