Dupa

Dupa pseudonym for Luc Dupanloup, ( born February 12, 1945 in Montignies -sur -Sambre, Belgium, † November 8, 2000 in Ottignies, Belgium) was a Belgian comic book artist and writer. He has become known primarily as the creator of the stories around the white, shaggy dog ulna.

Dupanloup studied in the 1960s at the Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels before he became assistant to the comic artist Michel Regnier aka Greg, whom he supported, among others, in the work of Albert gentian. In 1966 he went to the Tintin magazine, where two years later he created the figure of the cubitus. On 8 November 2000 Dupa died at age 55 from a stroke.
