Durbuy is a Walloon town in the province of Luxembourg. It is the smallest town in Belgium. It consists of the towns of Durbuy, Barvaux, GrandHan, Septon, Wéris, Bende, Bomal, Borlon, Heyd, Izier, Palenge, Petite- Somme, Tohogne and Villers -Sainte -Gertrude. The nuclear village " Durbuy" is the second smallest village with city rights ( about 400 inhabitants, Arnis has about 300 inhabitants).
History
In the Middle Ages Durbuy was an important trading center. 1331 were presented by John of Luxembourg city rights.
Attractions
The village Wéris is known for the local megaliths, dolmens and menhirs.
