Durningen
Durningen (German Dürningen ) is a commune with 648 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Bas- Rhin in the Alsace region. Durningen is a member of the Communauté de communes du Kocher mountain and the highest village in the mountain region cooker.
History
Durningen was first mentioned in 724 under the name Deorangus. This was followed by the names Teuringas ( 742), Thurinca ( 787), Thuringen ( 1276) and finally turn rings and Durningen ( 1371 ).
