Durupınar site

As Durupınar is in Turkish a geological formation near the city Doğubeyazıt referred to in eastern Turkey, which has the shape of a ship's hull. Some consider this formation for a remnant of the biblical Noah's ark. The structure was named after the Turkish Air Force Captain İlhan Durupınar, who discovered it in 1959.

More recently, especially the so-called Ararat anomaly is considered to be remnants of the ark. In both cases, the interpretation is not scientifically recognized.
