Durward Street

Durward Street is a street in London's Whitechapel, which is also known under its former name, Buck's Row. The street directly opposite the Whitechapel Station located extends to approximately 320 meters between the Vallance Road and Brady Street.

On 31 August 1888, found the body of Polly Nichols in Buck 's Row on the sidewalk, which is considered the first victim of the alleged murders by Jack the Ripper. Through the series of murders, the road was so much unwanted fame that she has been renamed in the same year in Durward Street.

From the original appearance of Buck 's Row is still a school house, and outgoing from this building wall where the body of Polly Nichols was found obtained.
