Düsseldorf-Ludenberg

Ludenberg is a district of Dusseldorf, adjacent to Grafenberg, Gerresheim, Hubbelrath and advice. Although with 6.44 km ² in area large, Ludenberg simply counts 6912 inhabitants ( as of Nov 2007). History

Until the beginning of the 19th century Ludenberg belonged to the mayor's Gerresheim. Besides Ludenberg also morp, Vennhausen, Erkrath, under Bach, Dorp and Bruchhausen were co-managed by Gerresheim. Leisure

The location on the Grafenberg forest offers numerous recreational opportunities for walkers, hikers, horse riders, cyclists and joggers. The area has numerous horse tracks and several stables. Ludenberg is the home of the Düsseldorf Racecourse as well as the internationally renowned tennis club " Rochus Club". There is a golf club, from which parts of the course are within the area of the racecourse. There are also several popular destinations such as the wildlife park of the Grafenberg forest, the racecourse beer garden or stables gastronomy, as well as the Aaper area on which there is the glider airfield of the Aeroclub Düsseldorf.
