Dustin Jeffrey
Dustin Jeffrey ( born February 27, 1988 in Sarnia, Ontario ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since November 2013 in the Dallas Stars in the National Hockey League under contract and runs parallel to their farm team Texas Stars in the American Hockey League.
Career
Dustin Jeffrey began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior Football League Ontario Hockey League, where he. 2004-2008 for the Mississauga IceDogs and the Sault Ste Marie Greyhounds was active. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2007 in the sixth round as a total 171 players from the Pittsburgh Penguins, where he signed his first contract in October 2007. In the 2007 /08 season, he completed 15 playoff games for Pittsburgh's farm team, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins in the American Hockey League. With Wilkes-Barre/Scranton he immediately reached the play-off final of the Calder Cup, in which he lost his team the Chicago Wolves. In the following two seasons, the Center was a regular in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and came parallel occasionally for the Pittsburgh Penguins of the National Hockey League action. 2010 he also took part in the first AHL All-Star Classic.
The 2010/11 season began with Jeffrey Wilkes-Barre/Scranton in the AHL, but he was already a regular basis from December 2010 at the Pittsburgh Penguins in the NHL on the ice and after the injury of Sidney Crosby he moved permanently to the NHL Team of The Penguins after, before he end of March 2010 also injured. In addition, he took part again in 2011 at the AHL All-Star Classic. In July 2011, his contract in Pittsburgh has been extended by two years.
During the NHL lockout in 2012 Jeffrey played in KHL Medveščak Zagreb in the Austrian Hockey League.
