Dustin Nguyen

Dustin Nguyen ( born September 17, 1962 in Saigon ) is an American actor of Vietnamese origin.

Biography

Dustin Nguyen's birth name is Nguyễn Xuân Trí. His mother was a dancer and actress My Le, Xuan Phat his father was an actor, writer and producer in South Vietnam. His family left Vietnam in April 1975.

Having Dustin Nguyen and his family had fled from South Vietnam, they built a new life in the United States of America. During his high school time, Dustin Nguyen avid martial arts. He later moved to California, where he was also the first time with acting.

Dustin Nguyen is since 2001 with his longtime girlfriend, former model Angela Rockwood, married. Since a serious car accident his wife is a paraplegic. Dustin Nguyen and his wife are heavily involved for the Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation. This foundation was founded by the late actor Christopher Reeve and his wife in 1982.

Actor

His debut as an actor, he was in an episode of Magnum as Cambodian Freedom Fighters. In the series 21 Jump Street - Tatort classroom he played from 1987 to 1990, the role of Officer Harry Truman Ioki and from 1998 to 2002 VIP - The Bodyguards, an American television series starring Pamela Anderson.

In 1994 he was in the film comedy 3 Ninjas - to see Kickback.

2006 turned Dustin Nguyen on the side of Johnny Tri Nguyen film The Rebel. In this he played a Vietnamese agent, on the side of the French army against the Vietnamese rebels - fighting - one of them played by Johnny Tri Nguyen.
