Dutch Flat is located west of Sacramento in California at an altitude of 410 m and has 800 inhabitants. It evolved from a small town back to the village.

The village belongs to the district of Placer County in the state of California and was founded in 1851 by German immigrants as a gold mining village. The village has a gold digger Museum, an old hotel and an antique shop.
