The Dutenhofen station ( officially: Dutenhofen (Kr Wetzlar ) or Dutenhofen ( Wetzlar ) ) is a separation station in the Hessian town of Wetzlar, district Dutenhofen. He is next to the Wetzlar train station of the second, much smaller railway station of the city and is located north of the district, in close proximity to the B 49 The Highway to Dutenhofener lake crosses just before the railway station, which is why there is a railroad crossing just outside the station. East of the station separate one hand the dill route to casting and on the other hand, the freight tracks that circumnavigate casting and open in the Main- Weser Railway at the junction Bergwerkswald. The station has since 1962 controlled by a small relay interlocking, which is housed in a front end of the reception building.

The station has two platform tracks on a central platform. Between the classification tracks at the western end of the platform a passing siding. There is a stop for regional trains of dill distance from Dillenburg to casting as well as for the Central Hesse Express ( Dillenburg -Frankfurt am Main ). In the morning traffic a Regional Express stops from Siegen in Gießen, which is covered with double-deckers, at the station.

The also circulating between Giessen and Wetzlar Lahntalbahn did not in Dutenhofen to December 2011. The timetable change 2011/2012 11 December 2011 Dutenhofen was connected to the Lahn Valley Railway to improve the rail service. The operation is done since then no longer the German railway, but by the Hessian State Railway, which has taken over the entire passenger on the Lahn Valley Railway.
