Dvory (Nymburk District)

Dvory ( German Dwory, 1939-45 courtyards ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located four kilometers north-west of Nymburk and belongs to the fulltext your real estates.

Geography

Dvory is located in the source basin of the creek Liduška on the Bohemian panel. East of the local part Veleliby the railway line runs from Nymburk to Mladá Boleslav or Jičín.

Neighboring towns are Zavadilka and Jizbice in the north, Krchleby, Obora and Všechlapy in the northeast, Veleliby in the east, Zdonín and Nymburk in the southeast, Kamenné Zboží in the south, Kostomlaty nad Labem, Lany, Sibice and Hronetice the southwest, Vápensko and Kačerov in the west and Čilec in the northwest.

History

The first written mention of Dvorové Velelibští took place in 1553 when Ludwig II transferred the duties of Veleliby to the town of Nymburk. At this time the village consisted of seven properties that were either part of the church or the festivals in Veleliby. 1558 acquired Heinrich von Dohna the goods in Veleliby and Dvorové Velelibští and joined them to the rule Benatek. He enlarged the manorial court, which then comprised about half of the village. Until 1652 more land in the village have joined to the court, which was given the name Zdonín at this time. 1840 was Dvory from 36 estates that lined up along the road to Nymburk.

After the abolition of patrimonial Dvory formed with the districts Čilec, Veleliby and Zdonín 1850 a municipality in the district Poděbrady. 1907 Čilec broke off and formed its own community. From 1920 the village was extended by application of side streets. 1934 came the congregation to fulltext your real estates.

The municipality consists of the villages Dvory Dvory ( Dwory ) and Veleliby ( Wellelib ) and the local situation Zdonín ( Zdonin ).
