DW (Latinoamérica)

DW ( Latinoamérica) is the Latin American version of the German international broadcaster DW-TV Deutsche Welle. It is the only version that sends in Spanish.

History

In November 1992, the German wave of Berlin launched a Spanish-language broadcast route. Almost exactly 20 years beamed the German international broadcaster only an hour originary program in Spanish. This hour was repeated once more, but due to the outstanding political, economic and cultural significance of Latin America, the German wave decided to extend its Spanish-language broadcast rail. In February 2012, the German wave underwent a complete relaunch, this was the program for Latin America, DW ( Latinoamérica), extended day of those two on the last 20 hours.

Moderators

After the relaunch alongside the established presenters as Gonzalo E. Caceres and Ana Plasencia were committed new: Carol Guerrero, Linda Guerrero and Carlos de Vega are over twenty new presenters from around the world to see in DW ( Latinoamérica).

Program

Selected programs of DW ( Latinoamérica):

  • Journal: The hourly newscast in 3 -, 15 - and 28 -minute versions. The two main programs are broadcast at 22:00 clock to 01:00 clock UTC.
  • Agenda: Three current issues in politics and society, moderated by Carlos de Vega. Tuesdays from 18:15 bis 19:00 clock clock UTC
  • Claves: A co-produced with Latin American partners international debate. Will be presented to the broadcast from Chilean journalist Gonzalo E. Cáceres. Cáceres moderated before from Berlin broadcasts Journal and Cuadriga. Later he was preparing tete with Debates sin fronteras before the new format. Claves, always on Mondays from 18:15 bis 19:00 clock clock UTC

Special Projects

  • In November 2013 DW ( Latinoamérica) called the Premio de Periodismo Medioambiental ', the journalistic environmental award. In collaboration with Revista Semana and Señal Colombia Colombian journalists can submit their work in "Environment ".
  • The Debates del Bicentenario were a special set of DW-TV on the occasion of the 200 years celebrations of the independence of various Latin American countries. DW cooperated with this TV CUATRO from Mexico, UCV TV from Chile and RTVC from Colombia. Gonzalo E. Caceres hosted the show with presenters of Channel Partners and led to the Debates del Bicentenario its series Debates sin fronteras continued.
