Dwele

Dwele ( born February 14, 1978 in Detroit, real name Andwele Gardner) is an American soul singer, musician, songwriter and producer from Detroit, Michigan.

Career

First success had Dwele 2002 as a guest on the single Tainted by Slum Village. His debut album Subject was released in the summer of 2003 on Virgin Records. It contains his only previous solo hit in the official U.S. charts, Find a Way. His second album Some Kinda ... appeared in October 2005 and included the single I Think I Love U. Dwele can be heard on the plates of Slum Village and J Dilla.

Multi -instrumentalist Dwele on his albums played a guitar, bass, piano and even the horn arrangements themselves. The inspiration he refers to Donny Hathaway, Miles Davis, Marvin Gaye and Stevie Wonder.
