Looking for Tille mountain of Neualbenreuth

The 939 -meter-high Dyleň ( German: Tille mountain or Tillen ) is the second highest peak in the Upper Palatinate Forest.

It is located in the corridors of the municipality Stara Voda east of the Bavarian Neualbenreuth. The Bavarian- Czech border is about a hundred meters below the summit.

History

In ancient reference books Dyleň is considered the highest elevation in the Upper Palatinate Forest; partly in this regard but called in various encyclopedias and the Entenbühl, which is nearly 25 kilometers to the south. Nowadays, however, has been proven that the Čerchov in the south of the Upper Palatinate Forest is the highest elevation.

Austrian geographers have at the time of kuk Monarchy Tillen calculated as the geographical center of Europe. They documented this time on a copper plate, which they could affix them to the summit. The village Neualbenreuth on the German side mentions this in their tourism promotion.

1926 established the German Alpine Association, Section Eger, a club house protection, the protection Tille house on the mountain. This, however, was removed again by the Czechs after the Second World War and transported to Pilsen.

In the 1960s, Czechoslovakia was built on the large peak area military reconnaissance station, which lost its authority after the end of the Cold War in 1989. Today there are transmitting antennas on the summit of Czech radio stations.

1964 uranium ore lens was at Tille mountain discovered and started open pit mining with search works. Transmitter

In the early 1990s lost the radar station at the top of their importance. Parts of the plant were removed. The tower was renovated and serves as a transmitter for radio and television programs. In the FM band broadcasting from there, the private radio Egrensis from Cheb to 92.5 MHz. In addition, the following government programs are broadcast: CR1 97.6 MHz; CR Regional Karlovy Vary 100.8 MHz. Due to the favorable location of the mountain, the programs are receiving far to Bohemia, Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate.
