The Dinamo Stadium ( weißruss.: Стадыён Дынама / Stadyjon Dynama ) is a football stadium with an athletics track in the Belarusian capital Minsk. The stadium holds 40,000 spectators.

History

The Dinamo Stadium was built in 1934, at that time still under the name of Minsk Stadium ( weißruss.: Менскі стадыён ). After the war, was until 1954 the reconstruction. For the football tournament at the Summer Olympic Games in 1980, the stadium was renovated and expanded. Today, the stadium is primarily used by the Capital club FK Dinamo Minsk of the Belarusian national football team. In addition, the team BATE Borisov of bears due to the high capacity of the stadium from their home games in the UEFA Champions League in the Dinamo Stadium.

Since December 2012, the demolition of the stadium running. It should be replaced by a new stadium with 40,000 seats for 150 million euros.
