E 311 road (United Arab Emirates)

The Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road ( By late 2012, Emirates Road ) (E 311, شارع إ 311) is a highway in the United Arab Emirates.

The road begins west of Dubai Jebel Ali in Dubai and touches suburbs as well as the Dubai airport. In the further course it leads past the northern emirates Sharjah, Ajman and Umm al - Qaiwain and finally terminates short of Ra's al -Khaimah on the E11.

Originally it was designed to divert heavy truck traffic around the downtown area of Dubai.

The road to Dubai in sections 16 -lane, 6 -lane otherwise expanded and continuously illuminated at night.

In the city of Dubai, Emirates Road is the most dangerous road in the UAE with only 19 deaths in the first half of 2006.
