The E Nebula and Barnard's E Nebula ( cataloged as Barnard 142 and 143 ) is a pair of dark clouds in the constellation Aquila. It is a sharp- edged, dark area that stands out from the Milky Way. The apparent size is about 30 arc minutes, which is about one full moon diameter. The distance is 2000 light years.
