E Nomine ( " from ( the ) name," Extract from the Latin in nomine, " in ( the ) name ") is a German -language music project.

History

E Nomine was founded by the producer Christian " Chris tianity " Weller and Friedrich " Sir, Fritz " Graner 1999. It got by the licensee David Brunner for publication. The band's music is a combination of trance / techno and a vocal accompaniment, reminiscent of Gregorian and classical Gregorian vocals. E Nomine himself describes this style of music as " monumental Dance".

The texts, such as the name of the project, not only Christian religious background, they also deal with mystical sacred, stories and legends about magic and the battle of good and evil. Often biblical content as the Psalm 23, the devil ( " God contribution and Devil's work " ), the Ave Maria or prophecies ( " Black Sun " from The Prophecy ) taken.

Voice actor known actors such as Robert De Niro ( Christian Brückner ), Al Pacino ( Frank Glaubrecht ), Bruce Willis ( Manfred Lehmann), Anthony Hopkins (Joachim Kerzel ), Robert Redford ( Rolf Schult ), Nicolas Cage ( Martin Kessler ), John Travolta ( Thomas Dannenberg ), Brad Pitt ( Tobias Meister ), Mel Gibson ( Elmar Wepper, Frank Glaubrecht, Joachim Tennstedt ), Liv Tyler (Elisabeth Günther ) and many more were available for the title of e Nomine front of the microphone. As of 2005, it became quiet around E Nomine. Friedrich " Sir, Fritz " Graner left the project. In the meantime, a new single was announced with the title " Holy" for the end of 2007, but never Nomine was officially released under the band name E. Since the single briefly stood ready for download, it arrived on platforms like Youtube and MyVideo into the circulation. Beginning of 2013 and the " Beat This Mix" and the " Instrumental Mix " of " Holy" were published there. With "Excalibur", which was just like, "Holy " is planned for a new album, there is another song online, which was previously played live only once at an event.

Graner and Weller founded in 2008 as "Evolution E Nominés " the project Brother of Sleep, which in 2013 the singles " Holy" and " Absolution " and the album " Today was not God here " published.
