Timrå IK (since 1965)

E.ON Arena is an ice hockey stadium in Timrå, Sweden. The stadium will host the home matches of Timrå IK from the highest Swedish league, the Elitserien. The naming rights to the arena holds since 2005, the energy company E.ON

History

E.ON Arena is primarily used for ice hockey games. The Timrå IK of the Elitserien bears since the opening in 1965 of its home games in the stadium. In 1994 and 2003, the arena was modernized and expanded, respectively. The expansion in 2003 cost about 50 million Swedish crowns, and was conducted by the architectural firm Ellextre Entreprenad AB.
