E1 Music

E1 Music [i ː mju wʌn: zɪk ] is a US-based independent label. It was founded in 1987 by Michael Koch, Koch Records (also spelled KOCH Records) and is headquartered in New York City. Since 2005 it is a subsidiary of Entertainment One Canadian media company. According to its own description, it is the largest independent record label in the U.S. and had both 2006 and 2007 from these the most albums in the charts of Billboard magazine.

For the publication of data carriers in Europe has become the Universal Music Group agreed to February 14, 2002 and provides this as a "E1 Universal". Since January 22, 2009 KOCH Records is officially under the name "E1 Music."
