Eagle-Pharmacy (Stolberg)

The building of the Eagle Pharmacy in Stolberg was built in the 16th century mansion of a copper farm. Later it housed the first of seven country pharmacies of the former district Aachen. The two-storey building is the oldest, built of stone house of Stolberg. Because of its local historical significance of the building is a listed building.

Establishment as Kupferhof

A native of Aachen copper champion Leonhard Schleicher acquired in 1571 a plot of land at the current Castle Road 21, just a few meters from the castle rock and Stolberg Castle. Description

The listed building is now used as a residence. It is a two storey building with a floor area of about 10 x 17 m. The street facade has five windows, the front door is located on the central axis. The window jambs are made of cut stones. At the top of the lintel iron fencing is attached with an eagle emblem above the door on the facade of a gilt figure of an eagle with outstretched wings.
