Eagle Vision

Eagle Vision ESi 3.5 (1995 )

The Eagle Vision was a service offered by the U.S. automakers Eagle from early 1992 until late 1997 sedan in the upper middle class with front-wheel drive.

The vision was based on the LH platform of the Chrysler Group and was closely related to the Chrysler Concorde, New Yorker, and LHS and the Dodge Intrepid. A Plymouth version was not available. From the models of Dodge Intrepid and Chrysler Concorde to the vision differed only in details such as the wedge-shaped front end design. In Europe, the Eagle Vision was - as well as the Dodge Caravan - under the name Chrysler offered.

The vision of the beginning of 1992 was presented at the Motor Show in Detroit. The design followed the propagated by Chrysler Cab Forward philosophy, and had a long wheelbase and relatively short overhangs, and a far-reaching forward passenger cabin with a correspondingly short hood on.

Were offered the versions ESi with 3.3 -liter V6 ( 114 kW/155 hp) and TSi 3.5 -liter V6 ( 160 kW/218 hp) with 24 valves, each in conjunction with a four-speed automatic. The Vision ESi offered firmer suspension, ABS, a leather steering wheel and 16 -inch aluminum wheels.

In the fall of 1993, the performance of the 3.3 - liter was increased to 120 kW (163 hp) and revised the automatic in terms of smoother shifting.

For model year 1997, the base model ESi got rear drum brakes instead of disc used to date.

The Eagle brand was completely discontinued in the spring of 1998. The ready-made successor was offered then as a Chrysler 300M. A total of 94,000 copies were produced by Eagle Vision.
