Ear dagger

The ears dagger is a late medieval weapon from Italy.

Description

The ears dagger has a straight, double-edged, pointed blade. The blade becomes a place of narrow by the book and is tapered. The magazine usually has a small, disc-shaped crossguard. The dagger usually has a strong Angel, are riveted on the issue shells of different materials. There are also versions that are equipped with a full metal handle. The fact that the Angel is working relatively strong and broad, it was possible in some versions to install a decorative ornament ( engraving or Tausia ) on the flat sides of the Angel. The handle is formed from two flat circular plates, which are arranged at an oblique angle to each other. The plates are often attached with strong rivets on the knob part. These plates were similar protruding ears, and gave the dagger his name. This dagger was used mainly in Italy but also in the rest of Europe.
