Earl W. Vincent

Earl W. Vincent ( * March 27, 1886 in Keota, Washington County, Iowa, † May 22, 1953 in Guthrie Center, Iowa ) was an American politician. Between 1928 and 1929 he represented the state of Iowa in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Earl Vincent attended the public schools of his home including the Keota High School, graduating in 1904. Then he studied until 1909 at Monmouth College. After a subsequent law studies at the University of Iowa in Iowa City and its made ​​in 1912 admitted to the bar, he began practicing in his new profession in Guthrie Center. Between 1919 and 1922 he was district attorney in Guthrie County.

Vincent was a member of the Republican Party. Between 1923 and 1927 he was a member of the House of Representatives from Iowa. Following the resignation of Congressman William R. Green, he was at the election due in the ninth constituency of Iowa as his successor in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC selected.
