East Cambridgeshire

East Cambridgeshire is a District in the county of Cambridgeshire in England. Council is based in Ely; significant sights are Bottisham, Burwell, Fordham, Haddenham, Isleham, Littleport, Soham, Stretham, Sutton -in-the -Isle, Wilburton and Witchford.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Urban District and the Ely Rural District, Ely and Newmarket.
