East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana

The East Feliciana Parish (French: Paroisse de Feliciana Est) is a parish located in the U.S. state of Louisiana in the United States. In 2010, the Parish had 20 267 inhabitants and a population density of 17.3 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( Parish Seat) is Clinton, named after the New York Governor DeWitt Clinton.

The Parish is located east of the geographic center of Louisiana, bordered to the north Mississippi and has an area of 1180 square kilometers, of which six square kilometers of water surface. It is bordered by the following Parishes and Counties:

History

The Feliciana Parish was to Maria Feliciana Saint- Maxent, the wife of Bernardo de Gálvez y Madrid, named. 1824 this was divided and the East Feliciana Parish formed.
