East Renfrewshire (Gaelic Siorrachd Rinn Friu to ear) is one of 32 Council Areas in Scotland. It is bordered by North Ayrshire, East Ayrshire, Renfrewshire, South Lanarkshire and Glasgow. From 1975 to In 1996, East Renfrewshire ( Barrhead without ) under the name Eastwood a district of the Strathclyde region.
