Eastern Conference (KHL)

The Eastern Conference is one of the two conferences of the Continental Hockey League. This is divided into the Kharlamov Diwision and Tschernyschow Diwision.

History

The Eastern Conference was founded to season 2009/ 10 after the KHL decided that instead of four divisions - divide along regional lines - as in its premiere season according to their skill level. In addition to determining the playoff finalists per conference in the KHL All-Star Game also come to the best players in the Western Conference against the best players in the Eastern Conference.

Playoff mode

The winners of the two divisions and the top six remaining teams of the conference make the playoffs. In these, the playoff champion of the conference is determined, which then against the champions of the Western Conference in the playoff final for the Gagarin Cup, the KHL champion trophy, compete.
