Eastern Connecticut State University

(Also known as Eastern or ECSU ) The Eastern Connecticut State University is a state university in Willimantic in the east of the U.S. state of Connecticut. Currently, about 5427 students are enrolled. The university is a so-called liberal arts college.

History

The university was founded in 1889 and is the second oldest university in the Connecticut State University System.

Research

For ECSU heard the Institute for Sustainable Energy, a research and teaching center for sustainable forms of energy.

Sports

The sports teams of the Eastern Connecticut State University are the Warriors. The university is a member of the Eastern College Athletic Conference.
