Eastern Region (Iceland)

Austurland ( German Ostland ) is one of the eight regions of Iceland. It lies in the east of the island. My office is located in Egilsstaðir in the community Fljótsdalshérað. On 1 December 2008, the population was 12,882 in an area of ​​21,986 km ² ( population density 0,586 inh. / Km ²).
