Ebbe Grims-land

Ebb Grims - country ( born June 11, 1915 in Malmö) is a Swedish violist, Mandolinsolist and composer. He received his education in Scandinavia and in other countries on the European continent.

Ebb Grims country played from 1943 to 1974 as a violist in the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra and other ensembles Stockholm.

He received awards from the cultural institutions of the city of Vienna ( 1987) and in 1974 by the Cultural Council of Stockholm. It was followed by the honorary membership in ' Samtida Music ' in 2005.

Grims country has created more than 200 works, including solo pieces, various chamber music and works for string orchestra and a symphony.

He has during many years stays in Bad Voeslau, Lower Austria in the years 1974-1998 lively cultural life of Vienna and Lower Austria. During the years 1980-90 he was a member of the Orchestra of the Society of Friends of Music in Vienna, and also worked as a violist in a string quartet.

Grims country is connected to the Eugen- Suchoň fund, Bratislava, he is a member of the Swedish Composers' Union ( Svenska Föreningen Tonsättare, FST) and ' STIM / Svensk musik ', where score will be archived and placed. The music collection of the Albertina (Vienna), the Vienna music collections and the National Music Collections in Stockholm have sheet music.
