Eberhard II, Duke of Württemberg

Eberhard II ( born 1 February 1447 in Waiblingen probably, † February 17, 1504 at Burglinde rock in the Odenwald) was as Eberhard VI. 1480-1496 Count of Württemberg- Stuttgart and as Eberhard II 1496 Duke of Württemberg.

Eberhard was the son of Count Ulrich V of Württemberg and Elisabeth of Bavaria- Landshut. He lived in his youth long at the Burgundian court. 1461 he took in Reims at the coronation of Louis XI. part of France. 1462 he returned to Württemberg, 1465-1467, he married the Countess Elisabeth of Brandenburg, a daughter of Margrave Albrecht Achilles of Brandenburg. Württemberg- Urach was ruled by Count Eberhard the Bearded, who had remained without legitimate offspring.
