Eberhard Schoener

Schoener studied from 1954 to 1959 violin and choral conducting at the Northwest German Music Academy in Detmold. Since the 1960s, he worked as a classical violinist and as an opera conductor. In 1965 he founded the Munich Chamber Opera. Starting from the classical music he experimented with various styles of music.

He composed several operas and film scores, the latter mainly for German television series such as The Heritage of Guldenburgs, The Old Man, Derrick or Siska.

From 1968 he taught at the Bavaria Studios up a laboratory for electronic music and experimented as one of the first with the Moog synthesizer. The official German contribution to the World's Fair in Osaka Expo'70 was composed by him. In later works, such as forensics, he used the sample-based Fairlight CMI to nature sounds, bird sounds and various orchestral synthesizer to combine with each other.

Since the 1970s, he strove for the bringing together of classical music, pop music and world music. He worked for several years along with bands such as Procol Harum, the musician Sting and The Police later. Also on the album 'The Turn of a Friendly Card ' by The Alan Parsons Project, he worked as a conductor with the musicians of the Munich Chamber Opera.

A " Rock Meets Classic" event with Deep Purple and the Orchestra of the Munich Chamber Opera was broadcast by the ARD euro vision.

On September 21, 1979, he took along with musicians from Java and Bali at the Ars Electronica Festival in part. 1979 Beautiful awarded the contract to design the BMW Museum. In 2005 he conducted the Munich Radio Orchestra in "Munich Midsummer Night's Dream ," a major event in the Olympic Park in Munich.
